Rachel Shrock

Rachel Shrock is Director, Global Legacy and Gift Planning at Human Rights Watch, where she leads planned giving strategy, donor stewardship, and legacy program development for the organization worldwide. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Gender and Women’s Studies from Earlham College, a Master of Arts in Art History from the University of Illinois at Chicago and a Post-Baccalaureate Certificate in Art History from Northwestern University and spent several years as Collections & Exhibitions Manager at the Jane Addams Hull-House Museum, an International Site of Conscience. She joined Human Rights Watch in 2015, becoming Senior Associate Director for Chicago in 2019, where she led all outreach and fundraising for the Chicago office, as well as acting roles for New York annual fundraising, until joining the HRW Legacy team in 2025. She also served as the organization's primary North American liaison for its Art+Activism program, coordinating auctions, exhibitions, and artist partnerships tied to its global advocacy work. Rachel is a certified Truth, Racial Healing, and Transformation practitioner, and is based in Chicago.
